Quick Birthday Card using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set Stamping with DonnaG!

Quick Card using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set....
I just have to say this stamp set is soo much fun to play with I have created a fun flower background to them stamp a strong bold Happy Birthday Sentiment over the top
This stamp set was created for the full Perennial Birthday Kit which I think is fantastic to help us remember those birthdays every month What better way then having Birthday cards already made & stored in the beautiful box which has the 12 months tagged to be able to go straight to the month to see who needs a card sent for their birthdays We will never forget peoples birthdays again
So I decided to show how you can make a card with just the stamp set alone
All I did was stamped a few flowers randomly around where my sentiment was going to sit I stamped 3 flowers with Sweet Sugar Plum to the right & 1 to the left then with some assorted colours Crumb Cake Soft Sky & Pear Pazzaz I added some more flowers & leaves to create the perfect background for the strong Bold Happy Birthday sentiment Stamped in Archival Black Ink
I backed my stamped whisper white layer with a layer of Sweet Sugar Plum Card Stock & used the ruched Sweet Sugar Plum Ribbon to finish it off
Sadly the sweet sugar plum will be discontinued when our new catalogue goes live at the beginning of June So if it is a favorite colour as it is one of mine I suggest you get the re inker so you can continue to enjoy your sweets sugar plum for a few more years
I also finished the inside off with the same technique of creating a flower background but in the inside I stamped off every time I stamped to get a lighter version of the background as the sentiment inside was a lot finer text as you can see from the image below
I also did a different colour combination with Old Olive Sweet Sugar Plum & Whisper White
The old Olive is a much stronger colour for the Base but layered with the Sweet Sugar Plum card stock it makes a lovely colour combination I have popped up the sentiment on dimensionals & also my layer of Sweet Sugar Plum to add some more Dimension to my Card Even though I have added that much dimension it would still go through the post on the base rate for postage for a letter to be sent Finished off with some Rhinestones to add some bling A simple yet very elegant card

Base 5.75"x8" Sweet Sugar Plum Layer 5.5"x3.75" Whisper white layer 5.25"x3.5"
Insert Layer Whisper White 5.25"x3.5"

Stampin Up! Lovely Floral Deep Impressions Embossing Folder & the Love What you do Stamp Set

You are going to love this Sponged Embossed Card using our new Lovely Floral Deep Impressions Embossing Folder..... This deep impressions embossing folder is to die for I so so love that you can do so many different things with it. I have enjoyed using either the embossed side or the debossed side. You can sponge it with daubers Ink it directly in the embossing folder & you can even use a sponge Brayer to get several different looks depending on what side of the embossed image you use So many uses I am sure you will not get tired of using this folder.... I have used a combination of The New In Colour Grapefruit Grove & Old Olive  with our Sponge Daubers to colour the lovely floral embossed image Make sure you don't have too much ink on your daubers as you only want a hint of colour on your embossed image This is a deep impressions embossing folder so remember to only use your base plate & 1 cutting pad to put your folder through the Big Shot Machine

August Global Stamping Friends Kids Card Blog Hop With Donna Gray Stampin Up!(r) NSW Australia!!! Welcome to another Global Friends Blog Hop!You are currently visiting Donna Gray's Blog I live in the Northern Rivers NSW Australia in a small suburb called Goonellabah. I am so excited to take part in this blog hop as it is my first ever blog hop I am new to blogging but I am loving sharing all my crafting ideas with like minded people. The Theme of this blog hop was to design a child's card which I tend to struggle with. So I set upon the task of designing a children's card. I wanted it to be fun and colourful. Something that would really catch the child's eye within seconds so I decided to use the Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle from Stampin Up!  The cookie cutter punch made making my little teddy's easier & quick to construct I used a combination of The new in Colours Lemon Lime Twist Berry Burst also combined with some of our other card stoc
