Kylie's Go For Greece Blog Hop....
Hello
& welcome to my blog My name is Donna Gray I am an Independent
Stampin Up!®Demonstrator from the Northern Rivers Area in New South
Wales Australia I have been crafting for many years but I made the great
decision to join Stampin Up! nearly 2 years ago now I must say it has
been one of the best decisions I have made in the last few years
So
a group of us demonstrators from all over the world are taking part in a
training program to help us run our Stampin Up business by giving us
business tips Live talks with successful business & setting us
challenges to get us out of our comfort zones to try new things to see
if it makes our Stampin Up businesses improve
One of the challenges to push us out of our comfort zone is to participate in this blog hop
There
are so many new items coming in our new catalogue that I really wanted
to use them but I decided that was not a good idea as you would be very
eager to get your hands on them but unfortunately they are not available
til June so I used two of my favorite sets to make these cards for this
blog hop...
The
card on the left I used a favorite stamp set Big on Birthdays & as
you will see the ombre effect on the large birthday sentiment This
effect can be used with many large sentiments even flowers You can
achieve the look simply by choosing 3 depths of coloured ink pads with
the same tone For this card I chose Lemon Lime Twist Bermuda Bay &
Island Indigo
You
start with the lightest ink pad first & ink up the whole stamp then
with the next darkest ink only the bottom 2/3's & then the darkest
ink just the bottom 1/3 of the sentiment Then stamp down as normal I
also used the Touches Of Texture Stamp set to create a textured
background on my Lemon Lime twist layer using my bermuda bay ink I
finished it of with some of our adhesive backed sequins & some of
the new black cord that will be coming in our new catalogue
For
the card on the right I used the Touches of Texture stamp set that you
will notices has lots of textured stamps but also has some lovely flower
stamps as well I used a card base of Daffodil Delight
& layers of Flirty Flamingo & whisper white
I used a combination of Soft Suede Daffodil Delight Calypso Coral & Cajun Craze ink pads & stamped the sentiment in Black Archival Ink I then finished it off using the new Crumb Cake bakers twine & the faceted gems that will be coming in our new catalogue
I also did a live video showing how I created these cards as well as another card using the Tranquil Tulips Host Set
